Mint Card Co. Story

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our site. We hope it is easy to navigate although I am no web designer. I thought it would be good to start a blog on here and really let you all get to know the team behind Mint Card Co. We are really excited to bring you some great product and albeit we do not have a ton of inventory now we are looking to change that! Obviously with the help of you loyal customers we can certainly grow and continue to give you all the product you want at a great price.

How we started is really not a long story. I (Anthony) really love Pokemon and sports cards and all in between. I had started collecting sports cards again a few years back and quickly realized it was a bit too expensive for me at the time, so we put that on pause. Being a huge gamer and really enjoying Pokemon and what the franchise entails on the video game side, I started rewatching the anime with my two sons. Through their enthusiasm for the show and playing with their pretend pokemon, I figured “hey, why not introduce them to Pokemon cards?” Boy the firestorm that started. We were going to our local shops and big box retailers scouring for cards, not knowing what was the hottest set or the best cards to search for (I was very much under the Holo base set Charizard is the best card) I started to notice there was a problem. Either my card shops locally had crazy pricing or I literally would walk into my Target and or Walmart to find an empty shelf. Having to see my kids faces leave those stores with disappointment again and again really sucked…. LIKE REALLY SUCKED. So I bit the bullet went to a card shop and bought a very overpriced booster box, took it home and we opened it. My wife even got in on the fun, we had a genuinely good time but our wallets were hurting. So I thought there’s gotta be a way to beat the scalpers (cue the superhero music) I thought long and hard about it, pitched some ideas to my wife, had a friend make a logo and bam. Mint Card Co. was born, we just want to have fun and bring fun to others without hurting your wallet. Trading cards, whether it be Lorcana, Pokemon, One Piece, Sports cards or anything in between should be fun, and exciting. You should be able to get your hands on a set you want regardless of how in demand it is or how little has been printed. That is what we are here to fix, we hope you guys have patience with us as growing in this industry is gonna take a while. But we are excited to be on that journey with you all.
